In this one day hands-on workshop, you will give a second life to a selection of overlooked durable materials by transforming them into a one of a kind tote bag.
During the class, you'll be introduced to various tools and sewing techniques, including sewing machine operation, cutting skills, basic pattern use, and construction techniques. The process will include an introduction to sewing vinyl signs, creating pockets, and outfitting straps, and boxing out the bottom of your bag.
To participate in this workshop, you should have some experience operating a domestic sewing machine. By the end of the class, not only will you walk away with a one-of-a-kind, heavy duty bag, ready for shopping or commuting, but you'll also gain valuable skills that you can apply to future upcycling projects. Join us in this fun and eco-conscious workshop!
